FEES & LEVIES

Enrolment at St. Anthony’s School is conditional on parents/caregivers entering a ‘Contract for the Payment of School Fees’ (refer to link on right). The school funds its operating costs from Government Grants, Parents & Friends Association fundraising and School Fees paid by Parents/Caregivers. The underlying principles relating to School Fees payment are found in the ‘School Fees Policy’. The expectation is that all parents/caregivers share in the payment of the school’s operating costs. Accounts are issued each term. There are four (4) terms in each year. Whilst consideration may be given to families in times of financial hardship, non-payment without consultation with the Principal may result in reminder letters, debt collection or legal action for the recovery of fees due to the school.

What do your School Fees cover?
Our school fees are all inclusive. Whilst the Activities Fee is listed separately on the account, our fees include the use of all facilities and resources, including school textbooks, art and craft materials, most paper and activities. Activities such as Arts Council, Swimming lessons, local excursions, bus transport to sport and visiting performers and displays are all covered within the fees. The Yr 6 Camp, optional competitions and work books in which children write incur an additional cost.

Compulsory Building Fund Levy:
The fees include the Levy, per term, per family that is deposited into the school’s Building Fund Account. This money is used to fund capital improvements and major maintenance on the school.

Parent Partnership Forum (PPF)
School Fees also cover a Parent Partnership Forum Levy, per term, per family that is transferred to the PPF. The purpose of this levy is for purchasing resources for the school whilst reducing the amount of fundraising that the PPF has to do. Each year, the PPF makes considerable donations to the school for the purchase of resources such as computers, sports gear and reading books.

Voluntary School Building Fund Contribution:
Families are encouraged to consider making Voluntary contributions to the school’s Building Fund. Receipts are issued and the amount is 100% tax deductible.

Payment of School Fees:
When you enrol your child at St. Anthony’s, you agree to pay school fees. All families are expected to commit to the regular payment of School Fees that are used to cover the running costs of the school in order to provide the best possible facilities, opportunities and activities for the students. Should you experience financial hardship, it is important that you speak confidentially with the Principal as soon as possible so a fee payment arrangement can be made.

Accounts:
Accounts are issued at the beginning of each term and reminders are issued each month. Outstanding fees are followed–up by letter and telephone contact. There are many options for the payment of fees including lump sum at the beginning of the year, each term, monthly, weekly or to coincide with pay weeks.

Direct Debits:
We encourage the payment of School Fees by Direct Debit through the Brisbane Archdiocesan Development Fund, as this ensures a steady flow of necessary funds to the school and assists with family budgeting. Should you wish to use the Direct Debit facility you will need to complete a Direct Debit form.
